"A science dealing with the properties, distribution, and circulation of water."
Using the science of Hydrology, it is possible to add to the aesthetics of your yard through the creation of waterfalls, ponds, fountains, streams, and more natural types of water features.
Water features are typically built in a similar fashion to pools in the challenging Rocky Mountain climate. The shell of the water feature is sculpted out of steel rebar. This steel cage is then shot or sprayed with a superior product called Shotcrete, which comes wet, reducing the possibility of dry-pocketing. The walls are 12" thick, offering a concrete strength of 7000 PSI. A final hand crafted layer of plaster can give the water feature a smooth or textured look.
This is a very brief description of the water feature building process. You also have many options such as landscaping, tile and deck Styles, CopingStones, cantilever decks, etc.
